The remote shortwave radio system is the only type of equipment that allows the operator to control the remote transmitter and receiver stations. This system overcomes the difficulties in Centers affected by environmental interference from suburban areas, lack of antenna systems, or when the Control Center is not in an ideal location for radio communications and eliminates RF interference from high power shortwave radio systems.
